Job description
Our client, a luxurious five-star hotel located near the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France, is seeking a certified lifeguard to join their team. This vital position will oversee the safety of guests in the hotel's state-of-the-art swimming pool and spa area. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring pool activities, enforcing safety protocols, and providing emergency response when necessary. Applicants should have a strong swimming background, excellent observation skills, and the ability to work flexibly, including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Monitor swimming pool and spa areas to ensure guest safety and prevent accidents.
- Perform water rescues and provide first aid as needed.
- Enforce all swimming pool rules and hotel safety protocols.
- Conduct regular checks of the pool water quality and temperature to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Lead water safety programs and swimming lessons for hotel guests.
- Collaborate with the hotel's housekeeping and maintenance departments to maintain cleanliness and safety of the pool area.
- Prepare and maintain accurate reports of incidents and accidents.
- Offer exceptional customer service, providing guests with information and assistance regarding pool facilities.
Requirements
- Valid lifeguard certification recognized in France.
- CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
- Previous experience working as a lifeguard, preferably in a luxury hotel or high-end leisure facility.
- Strong swimming skills and the ability to perform rescues efficiently.
- Excellent observation skills to detect emergency situations quickly.
- Good communication skills in both French and English to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
