Our esteemed client, a renowned luxury hotel located in the heart of Paris, is seeking a highly experienced maître d'hôtel to join their team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the dining room service, ensuring impeccable standards are met, and enhancing the overall guest dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of fine dining etiquette, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering unparalleled service in a prestigious hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the dining room service, ensuring all operations run smoothly and efficiently.
- Train and lead the service team, instilling high standards of dining etiquette and customer service.
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and presentation of dishes.
- Manage guest reservations and seating arrangements to optimize dining room flow and guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest queries and concerns with professionalism, offering solutions to enhance their dining experience.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to review service standards, introduce new procedures, and address any operational challenges.
- Monitor inventory of dining supplies and liaise with suppliers for timely replenishment.
- Implement and maintain quality control measures to uphold the hotel's luxury dining standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a maître d'hôtel or similar leadership role in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant.
- In-depth knowledge of high-end hospitality and fine dining service standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train and motivate staff.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and staff.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Fluency in French and English; additional languages are a plus.
- Hospitality management diploma or equivalent certification in hotel or restaurant management.
