Job description
Join our client's upscale hotel in New York City as a Housekeeping Manager. Oversee housekeeping operations, maintain cleanliness standards, and manage a team of dedicated staff. Candidates with prior experience in luxury hospitality and strong organizational skills are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness and orderliness throughout the hotel
- Manage and schedule housekeeping staff, including training and performance evaluations
- Collaborate with front desk and maintenance teams to coordinate room turnover and maintenance requests
- Develop and implement cleaning procedures and standards to maintain high levels of cleanliness
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure adherence to cleanliness standards
- Oversee inventory management for housekeeping supplies and equipment
- Address guest concerns and complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally
- Maintain communication with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role in housekeeping, preferably in a luxury hotel setting
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, techniques, and equipment
- Familiarity with cleaning products and their safe usage
- Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred)
- Certification in housekeeping or hospitality management (preferred)
