Job description
Charming luxury hotel located in Kavala (Greece) is looking for a Head Housekeeper responsible for the maintenance teams and coordination with the various departments as well as with the Management.
The position is permanent, with on-site accommodation, and will be available in October/November 2024.
Responsibilities
- Check the maintenance of rooms, furniture, sanitary facilities and common areas
- Checking rooms that have been stripped and recoated
- Checking the restocking of products/accessories/supplies in rooms and mini-bar
- Supervision of staff and organization of team work
- Manage team schedules
- Ensure compliance with processes (hygiene, safety)
- Apply CARDEX
- Manage inventory (products, linen, sheets, towels, etc.)
- Ensures smooth running of laundry facilities
- Recruitment and training of new recruits
- Liaise with management on arrivals and departures
- Welcoming customers, giving tours of the premises and assisting with luggage handling
- Respond to customer requests
- Assist front-of-house teams (table setting, floral decoration, etc.)
- Coordination with hotel departments
- Handling customer complaints
- Help with the organization of private events (movie nights, picnics, etc.)
- Reporting to management
Requirements
- At least 3 years' experience in a luxury hotel establishment
- Hotel training required
- Versatile person who enjoys working in a small structure
- Good managerial skills
- Sense of high-end personalized service
- Sensitive to history and refined decoration
- Flexibility and availability required
- A self-starter with an open mind
- Excellent communication skills with teams, management and customers
- Fluent in English and other languages
- Driving license appreciated
