Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations in key hotel departments including front desk, concierge, and housekeeping to ensure efficiency and high-quality service.
  • Conduct weekly staff meetings to review performance metrics, address concerns, and coordinate staff schedules, ensuring optimal staffing levels at all times.
  • Collaborate closely with the Food and Beverage Manager to enhance the dining experience, including monthly menu planning and special event coordination.
  • Implement and maintain the hotel's luxury service standards, conducting regular training sessions for new hires and refresher courses for existing staff.
  • Monitor guest feedback through various channels, including in-person conversations, online reviews, and feedback forms, to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Work with the marketing department to develop and implement promotional strategies aimed at increasing occupancy rates during off-peak periods.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure all guest rooms and public areas are in impeccable condition, scheduling regular inspections and necessary repairs.
  • Develop and oversee a monthly budget for operational expenses, working closely with the finance department to monitor spending and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Organize and lead quarterly team-building activities to maintain high morale and foster a positive work environment among staff.
  • Serve as a liaison between hotel management and staff, ensuring clear communication and resolution of any disputes or concerns that may arise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a management role within the luxury hospitality industry, preferably in a hotel setting.
  • Proven track record of leading and motivating a diverse team to achieve excellence in customer service and operational efficiency.
  • Strong understanding of luxury service standards and the ability to implement and maintain these standards across all hotel operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and management.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certification in hotel management or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of the hotel and its guests.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, forecast expenses, and identify cost-saving measures.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with discretion and professionalism.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and willingness to attend training sessions or workshops to enhance job performance and knowledge of the luxury hospitality industry.
