A renowned luxury boutique in the iconic Saint-Germain-des-Prés area of Paris is looking for an Assistant Store Manager. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing store operations, leading a team to excel in customer service, and meeting sales targets. Key duties include staff training, visual merchandising, and inventory control. Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily store operations to ensure smooth running and high operational standards.
- Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets through exceptional customer service.
- Conduct weekly staff meetings to discuss sales strategies, team performance, and set goals for the upcoming week.
- Oversee visual merchandising, ensuring the store presentation aligns with brand standards and seasonal trends.
- Coordinate staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage during peak shopping hours and special events.
- Monitor inventory levels, oversee stock replenishment, and organize monthly stock takes to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Train new staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service standards specific to the luxury retail industry.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
- Handle customer complaints and issues, providing solutions that maintain the brand’s reputation for excellence in customer service.
- Liaise with the head office and other store departments on promotional events, product launches, and other initiatives to enhance the customer shopping experience.
- Prepare and analyze sales reports, providing insights and recommendations to the Store Manager for driving sales growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a management or supervisory role within the luxury retail sector.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a retail environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of motivating staff to achieve excellence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of clients and team members.
- Proficiency in retail management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of current fashion trends and luxury market dynamics.
- Experience in visual merchandising and inventory management.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as required by the store’s operational needs.
- Fluent in French and English; additional language skills are a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed decisions.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the brand’s prestigious reputation.
