A renowned luxury hotel situated in the heart of Dubai's exclusive Jumeirah Beach district, is seeking a professional Butler to enhance their guest services team. This position demands a candidate who excels in creating bespoke experiences for guests, showcasing a commitment to excellence in the luxury hotel sector. The role involves intricate guest interaction, handling special requests with discretion, and orchestrating a refined living environment. Responsibilities
- Personalize guest experiences by understanding and anticipating their preferences and needs.
- Coordinate exclusive in-room dining experiences, working closely with the culinary team to ensure dietary preferences are met.
- Organize and oversee private events for guests within their suites, liaising with the events and service teams for flawless execution.
- Provide detailed information and recommendations on local attractions, dining, and cultural activities.
- Manage and execute special requests, such as arranging personalized shopping experiences or private tours.
- Conduct daily briefings with housekeeping and concierge teams to update on guest preferences and special requirements.
- Oversee the meticulous preparation of rooms prior to guest arrival, ensuring all amenities are customized to the guest's tastes.
- Facilitate seamless communication between guests and various hotel departments to ensure all needs are addressed promptly and efficiently.
- Conduct weekly inventory checks of all butler pantry supplies and amenities, ensuring all items are well-stocked and in perfect condition.
- Offer thoughtful touches that enhance the guest's stay, such as arranging surprise anniversary decorations or coordinating a special bedtime story service for children.
- Maintain the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with guests and team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from a recognized institution (Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (Switzerland), Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration (USA), Les Roches Global Hospitality Education (Switzerland), The Hotel School Sydney (Australia), Oxford Brookes University (UK)...).
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a luxury hotel or private residence as a Butler or in a similar guest-facing role.
- Certification from a reputable butler school, such as the International Institute of Modern Butlers or the British Butler Institute.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages (Arabic, French, Mandarin) is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and execute high-profile events and personal guest requests with discretion and professionalism.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong orientation towards guest service excellence.
- Proven track record of working effectively in a team environment and collaborating with other departments to meet guest needs.
- Knowledge of international etiquette and protocol, with the ability to adapt to the cultural preferences of guests.
- Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings, to accommodate guests' schedules and needs.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform job functions over long periods of time, including standing and moving throughout the hotel.
