Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the designated department, ensuring all activities align with the hotel's standards of excellence.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Conduct monthly performance reviews of departmental operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Lead and mentor a team of hospitality professionals, providing training and development opportunities to foster their growth and enhance service delivery.
- Collaborate closely with other Department Heads and the hotel's General Manager to ensure a cohesive approach to luxury hospitality.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting for the department, optimizing resources to achieve financial targets without compromising service quality.
- Organize and chair weekly departmental meetings to discuss progress, address challenges, and share best practices.
- Liaise with the hotel's marketing team to promote departmental services and offerings, contributing to the hotel's overall market positioning.
- Oversee the planning and execution of special events and services within the department, ensuring a memorable experience for guests.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for both guests and staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in management within the luxury hospitality industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Certified Hospitality Department Manager (CHDM) or equivalent certification.
- Proven track record of improving guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in team development and performance management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with both staff and guests.
- Proficiency in hospitality management software, such as Opera or Amadeus.
- Deep understanding of budget management, financial forecasting, and resource allocation.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
