An illustrious dining establishment located in the heart of Paris near the iconic Champs-Élysées, is recruiting an Executive Chef with a passion for culinary excellence and innovation. This high-end restaurant, renowned for its exceptional cuisine and impeccable service, offers a unique opportunity to lead a talented kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for menu development, sourcing premium ingredients, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and hygiene. This role demands creativity, leadership, and a deep understanding of the luxury dining experience.

Responsibilities

  • Developing innovative menus that reflect seasonal availability and culinary trends, with a monthly review to ensure guest satisfaction and variety.
  • Sourcing the highest quality ingredients from local and international suppliers, emphasizing sustainability and ethical practices.
  • Leading and motivating a team of kitchen staff, conducting weekly meetings to discuss menu changes, staff performance, and kitchen efficiency.
  • Collaborating closely with the restaurant manager to align culinary concepts with the overall dining experience, including special events and promotions.
  • Implementing and maintaining rigorous standards for food hygiene and safety, including regular kitchen inspections and staff training sessions.
  • Managing food and kitchen operational costs effectively, with a monthly audit to ensure budget compliance.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development and team training to stay ahead of culinary innovations and techniques.
  • Building relationships with guests to gather feedback and personalize the dining experience when possible.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of professional culinary experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a high-end or luxury restaurant environment.
  • Culinary Arts Degree from a prestigious institution such as Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, or the Culinary Institute of America.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Executive Chef (CEC) through the American Culinary Federation or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to create innovative and high-quality menus that cater to a luxury clientele.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of mentoring and developing kitchen staff.
  • Excellent understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations, with certifications in Food Safety Management Systems.
  • Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with staff, suppliers, and international guests.
  • A portfolio showcasing previous culinary achievements, menu developments, and any awards or recognitions received.
