The ideal candidate will have a robust background in finance, with specific experience in the luxury hotel industry. Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in finance or accounting, relevant certifications that validate their expertise, and a proven track record of financial management and strategy development in a hospitality setting.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field from an accredited institution.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance or Hospitality Management is highly preferred.
Certification:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is required.
- Certification in Hotel Industry Analytics (CHIA) is advantageous.
- Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation can also be beneficial.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role within the hospitality industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement financial strategies that have positively impacted hotel profitability and efficiency.
- Proficient in financial software and systems relevant to the hospitality industry, such as Oracle Hospitality or SAP.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and produce actionable insights.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a track record of successful collaboration across departments.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and standards specific to the hospitality industry, with experience in audit and compliance.
- Experience in budgeting, financial forecasting, and financial report writing.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
The candidate must demonstrate not only technical proficiency in financial management but also a deep understanding of the luxury hospitality market, showcasing an ability to drive financial performance while maintaining the highest standards of service and operational excellence.
