Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring a seamless check-in process and escorting them to their rooms.
  • Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Coordinate with the concierge, housekeeping, and room service teams to fulfill guest requests and maintain high satisfaction levels.
  • Monitor and manage guest feedback, working closely with the hotel management team to implement improvements.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with guests during their stay to ensure all needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Oversee the preparation of welcome amenities for VIP guests, coordinating with the kitchen and housekeeping departments.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss guest feedback and share insights on enhancing the guest experience.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local attractions, events, and dining options to provide personalized recommendations to guests.
  • Assist in managing reservations, ensuring special requests are noted and communicated to relevant departments.
  • Collaborate with the security team to ensure guest safety and address any security concerns promptly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in guest services or front desk operations within a luxury hotel setting.
  • Proficiency in English and at least one other language, preferably Spanish, French, or Mandarin.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to handle guest concerns with diplomacy and tact.
  • Familiarity with hotel management software and reservation systems.
  • Certification in Customer Service Excellence or a related hospitality certification is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of the New York City area, including attractions, dining, and entertainment options.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and night shifts.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
