We are currently seeking a part-time head waiter/waitress for our esteemed client, a high end hotel located in Paris, France. The ideal candidate will oversee the dining area, manage staff, and ensure exceptional service standards are met. With a focus on providing an unforgettable guest experience, this role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for luxury hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the daily operations of the dining area in a luxury hotel located in the Marais district of Paris.
- Managing a team of waitstaff, including scheduling shifts, training new employees, and ensuring all staff adhere to the highest service standards.
- Collaborating with the kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of high-quality dishes.
- Handling guest reservations and seating arrangements to maximize dining experience and efficiency.
- Conducting regular staff meetings to review performance, address concerns, and implement strategies to improve service quality.
- Coordinating with the event planning team for special occasions, ensuring bespoke service for events.
- Monitoring inventory of dining supplies and liaising with suppliers to ensure all necessary materials are in stock.
- Implementing and maintaining hygiene and safety protocols in the dining area.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a head waiter/waitress or similar leadership role in a luxury or fine dining setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with guests and team members.
- Knowledge of fine dining etiquette, menu offerings, and wine pairings.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Fluent in French and English; additional languages are a plus.
- Hospitality management diploma or related certifications preferred.
