Our client, a leading name in luxury retail, is seeking a human resources officer for their flagship store in the vibrant SoHo district of New York, USA. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing effective HR strategies, managing recruitment and selection, and developing staff retention programs. Responsibilities
- Implementing HR strategies that support the business objectives of the luxury retail store in SoHo, New York.
- Leading the recruitment and selection process to attract and retain top talent.
- Developing and executing staff retention programs to reduce turnover rates.
- Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback to employees.
- Collaborating with department managers to identify and address staff training needs.
- Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Managing employee relations and acting as a mediator in conflict resolution.
- Overseeing payroll processing and ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Organizing monthly staff meetings to communicate HR policies and updates.
- Working closely with the store manager to align HR practices with the store's goals and culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR, preferably in the luxury retail sector.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven track record of successfully managing recruitment and staff development.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members across different departments.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR) preferred.
