Our client, a prestigious luxury hotel located in Miami, is seeking a skilled part-time maintenance technician. This essential role involves ensuring all hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house operations, are maintained to the highest standards of safety and aesthetics. The successful candidate will have experience in general maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance, with a focus on delivering a flawless guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and operational spaces.
- Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues, ensuring timely resolution to maintain continuous operation.
- Conduct preventive maintenance checks to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
- Collaborate with the housekeeping and front office teams to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize disruption to guests.
- Maintain records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities for compliance and operational efficiency.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of event spaces as required by hotel functions and guest needs.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly to ensure guest safety and comfort.
Requirements
- Proven experience in maintenance, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Technical knowledge and skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively with guests and staff.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification or vocational training in a relevant field is a plus.
