Our client, an elite home furnishings showroom in the vibrant Chelsea neighborhood of New York, requires a full-time sales associate. The role demands a keen eye for design, the ability to offer tailored advice to clients looking to enhance their living spaces, and a commitment to achieving sales targets. Candidates should have experience in luxury retail or interior design, with a focus on delivering high-quality customer service and building lasting relationships with clients.
Responsibilities
- Engage with clients to understand their interior design needs and preferences, providing expert advice on home furnishings that suit their lifestyle.
- Conduct sales presentations, highlighting the features and benefits of our products to encourage purchases.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest design trends and product offerings to offer clients the best possible advice.
- Collaborate with the design team to create custom furnishing solutions for clients seeking unique interior options.
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring the showroom is well-stocked with a wide range of products.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring a smooth checkout experience for customers.
- Follow up with clients post-purchase to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- Participate in regular training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
Requirements
- Proven experience in luxury retail sales or interior design, with a strong passion for home decor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Creative thinker with an eye for design and detail.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software relevant to sales and design.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays, as required by retail operations.
- A minimum of a high school diploma; a degree in Interior Design or related field is preferred.
