Job description
Our client, a luxurious waterfront hotel in Miami, is currently seeking a part-time security officer to ensure the safety and security of their guests and property. This role requires vigilance, a proactive attitude, and the ability to respond quickly to any security concerns. The ideal candidate will have experience in security within the hospitality sector, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all guests.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the hotel property, including guest areas, to ensure safety and security.
- Monitor surveillance systems and respond to alarms or disturbances promptly.
- Manage access control for the hotel, verifying the identity of guests and visitors.
- Provide assistance to guests and staff in emergency situations, coordinating with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
- Prepare reports on incidents and security breaches, contributing to the development of improved security measures.
- Collaborate with the hotel management team to review and update security protocols.
- Conduct security briefings for staff to raise awareness about safety practices.
- Ensure compliance with all hotel security policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Security Officer, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of security operations and surveillance systems.
- Ability to act with integrity and professionalism in all situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Certification in security training or law enforcement background is highly desirable.
- Ability to work part-time hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma; additional qualifications in security administration or similar field preferred.
