A distinguished wellness center in New York's upscale Upper East Side is looking for a full-time spa manager. This position involves managing daily spa operations, developing and implementing strategies to improve service quality, and leading a team of dedicated professionals. Applicants should possess expertise in spa and wellness trends, customer service excellence, and the ability to create a luxurious and relaxing environment for clients.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the spa, ensuring a high standard of service and client satisfaction.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the quality of spa services and increase revenue.
- Lead and motivate a team of spa professionals, providing training and development to ensure exceptional service delivery.
- Manage spa inventory, ordering supplies, and equipment as needed while controlling costs.
- Collaborate with other managers and staff to create a seamless wellness experience for clients.
- Handle client inquiries and resolve any issues to maintain the spa's reputation for excellence.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to keep the spa competitive and innovative.
- Prepare and manage the spa budget, setting financial targets and reporting on performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Spa Manager or similar managerial role in the wellness or hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
- Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to providing a luxurious spa experience.
- Knowledge of spa operations, including service standards, health and safety regulations, and inventory management.
- A degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Certification in spa or wellness management is a plus.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by the spa's operating hours.
