Job description
Our client, a high-end luxury retail brand located in Dubai's shopping district, is seeking a talented part-time store designer. This role involves creating visually stunning and brand-aligned store layouts, designing bespoke retail spaces that enhance the shopping experience for our discerning clientele. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for design, experience in luxury retail environments, and a passion for merging aesthetics with brand identity.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative store layout designs that align with the luxury brand's identity and enhance the customer shopping experience.
- Collaborate with the retail management team to understand specific design needs and translate them into functional, aesthetically pleasing retail spaces.
- Manage the entire design process, from conceptualization to execution, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Select and oversee the installation of furniture, fixtures, and finishes, maintaining the highest standards of quality and luxury.
- Work closely with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure design specifications are met.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends in retail design, materials, and technologies to keep the brand at the forefront of luxury retail.
- Provide regular updates and presentations to stakeholders on design progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess the effectiveness of store designs and make adjustments as necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven experience in store design, preferably within the luxury retail industry.
- A strong portfolio showcasing previous work in high-end retail environments.
- Excellent understanding of space planning, materials, and lighting design.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Creative thinker with the ability to conceptualize and execute innovative design ideas.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teams and external partners.
