The successful candidate will be responsible for custom fittings, alterations, and repairs, ensuring each piece meets our high standards of quality and craftsmanship. Responsibilities
- Conducting personalized fitting sessions with clients to assess alterations needs and preferences.
- Performing alterations on a wide range of luxury garments, including resizing, hemming, and custom modifications.
- Collaborating with the sales team to ensure alteration requests are completed to the client's satisfaction and align with the store's luxury standards.
- Managing alterations workflow to meet client deadlines, including prioritizing tasks and scheduling fittings.
- Maintaining detailed records of alterations work for each garment, including client specifications and adjustments made.
- Ensuring the alterations area is organized, clean, and equipped with the necessary tools and materials.
- Providing expert advice on garment care and maintenance to clients.
- Participating in monthly staff meetings to discuss alterations best practices and ways to improve service quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an alterations specialist or tailor, preferably in the luxury retail sector.
- Expert knowledge of garment construction, fabric types, and alteration techniques.
- Ability to work with a variety of luxury materials with precision and care.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in fashion design or tailoring is highly desirable.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering excellence in every task.
