Job description
Our client, an hotel chain with a signature property in downtown Miami, requires experienced back of house staff. This role involves coordination with the kitchen, housekeeping, and inventory teams to ensure operational excellence, cleanliness, and supply availability. The successful candidate will be responsible for regular inventory audits, liaising with suppliers, and assisting in the preparation of large events and banquets. Prior experience in a luxury hospitality environment, along with a proactive and collaborative approach, is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and sufficiency of all kitchen and operational supplies.
- Liaise with suppliers for the timely ordering and delivery of high-quality supplies, negotiating to achieve the best prices and terms.
- Support the kitchen and housekeeping teams by ensuring all materials and equipment are available and in excellent condition.
- Assist in the coordination and setup of large events and banquets, including layout planning and equipment preparation.
- Work closely with the culinary team to streamline operations and minimize waste.
- Maintain a clean and organized back-of-house area, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a back-of-house role within a luxury hospitality environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for dealing with suppliers and team members.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and operation.
- A team player attitude, capable of working effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
