Job description
Seeking a Laundry Manager to join our client's luxury hotel team in Dubai. Your main responsibility is to oversee laundry operations, including staff supervision and quality control. Ensure smooth functioning of the department to meet guest expectations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily laundry operations to maintain efficiency and high standards.
- Manage inventory of linens and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Coordinate with housekeeping department to prioritize laundry needs.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of laundry equipment.
- Train and mentor laundry staff, providing guidance on best practices.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure cleanliness and presentation of linens.
- Collaborate with front desk staff to accommodate guest requests and ensure timely delivery of laundry services.
- Prepare reports on laundry productivity and inventory management for management review.
- Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to improve laundry operations.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork among laundry team members.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury hotel setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team.
- Knowledge of laundry operations, including equipment maintenance and inventory management.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Diploma or certification in hospitality management or related field preferred.
- Familiarity with laundry software systems for inventory tracking and reporting is a plus.
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and dedication to providing exceptional guest service.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and handle pressure situations calmly and effectively.
