Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival
- Manage reservations efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Seat guests according to reservation and seating plan guidelines
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate table turnovers
- Handle guest inquiries and requests promptly and professionally
- Maintain a clean and organized host/hostess station
- Collaborate with restaurant management to optimize seating arrangements and guest flow
- Assist in training new host/hostess team members as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in reservation management software is a plus
- Fluent in English and French; additional languages a bonus
- Positive attitude and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
