Job description
We are seeking a Head Barista for a new project to lead its specialty coffee program, delivering an elevated coffee experience in line with the establishment's overall standard of service.
Responsibilities
- Design and lead the specialty coffee program, including menu, sourcing, and equipment
- Deliver consistent, high-quality coffee service across breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- Train and oversee front-of-house staff on coffee preparation and service standards
- Manage stock, ordering, and equipment maintenance for the coffee program
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and front-of-house management on overall guest experience
- Support pre-opening tastings and trial service
- Uphold rigorous hygiene and food safety standards
Requirements
- Significant experience as a head barista or specialty coffee program lead, ideally in a high-end restaurant, hotel, or roastery setting
- Competition, roastery, or training background preferred, especially for the higher end of the salary range
- Strong technical and training skills
- Availability to relocate to Cairo ahead of launch (after Ramadan 2027)
- Fluent English required; Arabic not required
