Job description
Our client in Abu Dhabi is launching Glacia Rose Gelateria and Pasticceria, a premium dessert destination offering authentic Italian gelato and pastries in an elegant and welcoming environment. They are currently seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess/Support (M/F) for a full-time position. This role is essential to ensuring a warm first impression and smooth guest flow, while also providing operational support to the front-of-house team.
The ideal candidate will have a confident, poised demeanor, strong communication skills, and the flexibility to support service needs during busy hours.
Responsibilities
Guest Reception & Seating:

Greet all guests with warmth, professionalism, and a welcoming attitude.

Manage guest reservations and walk-ins, optimizing table flow and minimizing wait times.

Escort guests to their tables, distribute menus, and provide initial service guidance.
Customer Support:

Respond to guest questions about the menu, concept, and café offerings.

Assist servers and baristas during peak hours with tasks such as clearing, resetting, or serving light items.

Proactively monitor guest satisfaction and help resolve any concerns quickly.
Front-of-House Maintenance:

Maintain cleanliness and order in the entrance, lobby, and guest waiting areas.

Handle phone calls, booking inquiries, and take messages as required.

Coordinate with waitstaff and supervisors to ensure seamless guest service.
Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience as a hostess, receptionist, or front-of-house team member in hospitality.

Previous experience in a café, boutique restaurant, or dessert outlet preferred.

Professional appearance and excellent interpersonal communication.

Warm, guest-focused attitude with strong attention to detail.

Comfortable multitasking and staying composed in a busy environment.

Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is an asset.

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evening shifts as needed.
