Job description
Our client in Abu Dhabi is launching Glacia Rose Gelateria and Pasticceria, a refined dessert boutique offering handcrafted Italian gelato and elegant pastries, infused with a touch of Emirati flavor. They are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Demi Chef de Partie (M/F) to support their pastry team in daily production. This is a valuable opportunity for a pastry professional looking to grow in a creative, high-standard kitchen under the guidance of experienced chefs.
Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and production of a wide range of Italian pastries, desserts, and baked goods.

Follow established recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency and product quality.

Support senior chefs in executing new dessert concepts that incorporate local Emirati ingredients such as dates and cardamom (hail).

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation and pastry section.

Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of all ingredients and finished items.

Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.

Participate in daily mise en place and contribute to smooth kitchen operations.

Be proactive in learning new techniques and stepping up when needed in other areas of the pastry kitchen.
Requirements

1–2 years of experience in a pastry or dessert kitchen, ideally with exposure to Italian or European pastry techniques.

Certificate or diploma in Culinary Arts or Pastry from a recognized institution is preferred.

Strong interest in learning artisanal dessert and gelato preparation.

Basic knowledge of baking tools, pastry equipment, and ingredient handling.

Attention to detail, cleanliness, and consistency in execution.

Good time management and ability to work under supervision.

Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
