Job description
Our client in Abu Dhabi is preparing to launch Glacia Rose Gelateria and Pasticceria, a high-end culinary concept specializing in artisanal Italian gelato, premium pastries, and creative Emirati-inspired flavors. They are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ice Cream Maker to join their kitchen team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about crafting high-quality gelato and frozen desserts in a professional and innovative environment.
Responsibilities

Prepare and produce artisanal gelato, sorbets, and frozen desserts according to Glacia Rose’s quality and presentation standards.

Maintain consistency in flavor, texture, and portioning of all gelato and frozen products.

Follow recipes and SOPs accurately while ensuring proper ingredient handling and measurements.

Incorporate seasonal and Emirati-inspired flavors (e.g., cardamom, dates, saffron) into product offerings.

Monitor inventory, manage mise en place, and ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the gelato preparation area and equipment.

Collaborate with the Pastry and Beverage teams to support product development and seasonal menu offerings.

Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
Requirements

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in gelato, ice cream, or pastry production in a professional kitchen.

Knowledge of gelato-making techniques, flavor development, and texture control.

Culinary diploma or certification preferred.

Strong attention to detail, creativity, and ability to work under pressure.

Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn and grow.

Good communication and teamwork skills.
